What’s on our radar this week (March 16, 2019)
The most beautiful flower arrangement at Hillwood during their members reception.
1. It’s no secret I’m currently dreaming of going back to Napa. We had the best time during our first visit and serious foray into New World wines. You can find our tasting tips here and a post on the beautiful grounds and gardens of Napa here.
2. We have a new favorite spot: Millie’s in Spring Valley. We biked to their restaurant the last time we were in Nantucket and their D.C. location took us right back. It’s absolutely worth a spot on your weekend list – especially with their outdoor patio and this weather. Hello, sunshine!
3. Last weekend, we had so much fun shooting at the gorgeous City Tavern Club on M Street in Georgetown. I’m so excited to share a peek into the historic building in the coming days.
4. I am absolutely loving Oh How Civilized, a blog that’s dedicated to all things afternoon tea. Since I’m a big fan of it myself, I can’t recommend this more.
5. During the season of Lent, I’m making an extra effort to spend time in the Word. My Bible study just started a new book and I’m anxious to get into it.
6. Daylight Savings time has been an adjustment. I am loving the added sunshine (especially as a blogger with a full-time job!), but it has been real adjusting to it.
7. What’s on the blog this week: celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a green and white tabletop, Old Bay Kale Chips (my current snack obsession), and one of my favorite party hacks.
8. The dates and themes for Twilight Polo’s 2019 season are live! Talk about trumpeting in warmer weather. I can hardly wait. For peeks at the event, check out this post and this one.
9. We are heading to a new-ish place this weekend and I’m so excited to be back in the south for a few days. Stay tuned to Insta Stories for more!
10. Ok. I’m guilty. I’m two books behind on my book club’s reading list. This month, we’re reading Hamilton. I’m still working on Emma, then finishing up The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. We also read Crazy Rich Asians and The Good Neighbor.
