Giving Away one of my Favorite Party Hacks
I’ve learned a few things over the last few years of hosting parties and decorating. Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite little party hacks. It looks a little crazy, but once I saw it done, it was like a light bulb moment: so that’s how event planners create that chic little stack of napkins!
Start with a pile of napkins with a regular surface. That means no napkins with an all-over metallic sheen. I tried this with my gold metallic Caspari Scalamandre zebras and the texture just doesn’t work.
Ok, now for the crazy part. Make a fist and gently “punch” the top of the stack of napkins twisting at the same time in a counterclockwise direction. You’ll slowly see the napkins start to fan out.
You may have to play around with how much pressure you apply and how many turns you have to do.
Pro tip: I always take the top napkin off and place it on the bottom so that the top is left crease-free.
Voila! You’re ready to party!
