Our First Tailgate of the Fall

After refreshing our tailgate supplies for the year, we celebrated the last few days of summer by welcoming in an early sneak peek of fall.

The weather was in the 80’s – just perfect for enjoying time outside with friends. We used this tablecloth for the team’s colors: maroon and gold. It’s polyester and it worked out wonderfully. I rarely invest in tailgate tablecloths since we end up washing, re-washing, and then eventually tossing them. Tailgate tablecloths can go through a lot.

To anchor our tabletop, we used two mums in the same colors. We also pulled in those colors with striped paper straws and yellow gold napkins.

Our football field stadium cups were a hit and I’m glad we tried out the disposable stand-up trash can. It was perfect – and a classier way to stow any discards from the tailgate.

With the help of our sweetest friends, we filled our tailgate tabletop with cheese and charcuterie, chips and dips, veggies, Cava dips, fruit, Chick-fil-a nuggets, sugar cookies, and so much more. It was a great way to toast to a new season!
