My Top Ten Entertaining Picks From the Nordstrom Sale
You’ve probably already bookmarked the Tory Burch flats that are almost $100 off, a few camel coats, and boots from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which opens to the public (aka non-Nordstrom cardholders) today, but there are several tabletop items that are also just waiting to be scooped up. I’m sharing my top ten here!
- This set of 3 twig cheese knives – the perfect accent for a cheeseboard – and under $20.
- Le Creuset au gratin dishes are staples in our home. They’re perfect for baking savory and sweet. They’re also a great way to divvy out servings, whether you’re cooking for one or for four. This is a terrific price for two in a great basic white (also good wedding and shower gifts).
- I’m seeing enameled serving platters and plates everywhere recently. This blue-and-white splatterware platter (also in oval here) is one of my favorites. The coordinating red serving bowl and fish enameled tray are also fabulous buys.
- I love the way a wooden salad bowl brings both texture and warmth to a tabletop. It lends a certain coziness and a homey feel. This one is a great buy at under $30. I also love this wood tray, which is wonderful for serving appetizers on crackers or toasted baguettes. This set of wooden nesting pedestals is a great way to add much-needed height and interest to buffets.
- These wood marble coasters add a casual coolness to any coffee table or outdoor bar (under $20). They also make a great little hostess gift paired with a bouquet of peonies or a bottle of rose.
- Sales like this one are good opportunities to stock up on the basics, like the au gratin dishes I mentioned earlier. These champagne flutes are another good example. I love their shape.
- If you lean more towards a modern, all-white look, this espresso fruit tree by Nambe is something fun and different. Hang fruit, like bananas, from the alloy prongs and nestle apples, peaches, or pears in the bowl.
- A monogrammed carafe with a drinking glass is a chic little something extra for your guest room nightstand (available in this shape, too).
- I also love the shape of this glass ice bucket – a good entertaining staple at just over $15.
- Use these clear glass oil bottles to house and serve aged balsamic or your everyday olive oil. The wooden stand makes for a classic presentation.
