The decorations are out, brunch plans have been made, and the Easter Bunny is checking off the little things on his list. If you missed it, there’s still time to plan out your Easter shopping. Check out our guide here. Here are a few of our favorite fillers for our toddler’s Easter basket so far:
Bunny bath bombs – Bath color tablets and anything that fizzes are super popular right now for our almost-two-year old. These on-theme bunnies are too fun. We also grabbed these Cocomelon bath color-changing tablet at the Dollar Tree. I’ll be honest. We went to one thinking it would be great for fun, inexpensive travel things we can play with once or twice and be done with. So many kids travel folks swear by the store, but we really didn’t find much. These we did find though, so it sort of made the trip worth it.
The sweet papier mache bunny egg was from a dear friend, Ali-Jae. We’ll probably stick a fun little filler in it. I can see us having this for years to come. It might even be The Golden Egg which houses cash one day when he’s older. I think she found it at Williams Sonoma – it came filled with candy.
Easter chick – He is now 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby. We did the sweetest stuffed animal bunny from Saddle Stitches with a monogrammed ear last year. It was darling and a great size. This little chick is a fun little stuffed animal, but he’s more into dogs these days, so it’s my attempt to be on theme but not over-invest. This bunny is also so cute. We love Jellycat stuffed animals in our house – so soft and huggable.
Books – Seasonal books are not my favorite. I’ve been burned in the past by them. They’re never quite as good as the originals. So, I picked books based on our current obsessions: trains (exact one here) and dinosaurs. Highly recommend tucking a board book or two in there.
Train slippers – These were a fabulous find from my friend, Amy. They are darling in person and under $20.00. Big win!
Ooly coloring goodies – We LOVE Ooly, so I grabbed a set of the Chunkies paint sticks (these pastel ones are also so sweet) and the stampable markers as fun little treats to add to his coloring stash. The Stampables are way better than I even expected. They come in a travel case, there are so many, and they’re double-ended, so one end is a stamp and the other is a regular marker. Love!
Happy shopping, bunnies!
