It’s almost Valentine’s Day! I love this holiday. Sure, it’s a little commercialized, but what other holiday do you get to eat sweets, wear all the red and pink, and show the ones you care about a little extra love?
To celebrate this year, we’re planning a romantic night in doing what we love: cooking dinner together. It sounds simple, but it’s one of our favorite ways to de-stress and enjoy each other’s company. Plus, we both love to cook, so this just gives us another excuse.
For this year’s tabletop, I went with my old favorite: blue and white, and dressed it up with pops of red and pink.
My ginger jars are from HomeGoods for the most part. The red chargers at each place setting add that extra bit of glam. Every setting is anchored with these fabulous Caspari blue and white napkins I brought back from Williamsburg. There is the best shop right downtown on the corner next to my favorite lunch spot, The Cheese Shop.
Even our pup pitcher is dressed up with a little red ribbon.
I used berry picks in one of my blue and white vases for something a little different. It ties in the red with the ginger jars perfectly. We found this vase at Pier One (under $50).
My bright red bow tablecloth is an old Kate Spade one. The cafe goblets are Pottery Barn. We have a dozen of them and a dozen of the cafe juice glasses. They are amazing and under $5.00 each, so it’s not a tragedy if we have to replace one or two. I’ve had them since 2016 though and have only had to replace one. I just fell in love with their shape and style. They’re the best everyday glasses. The goblets are sadly out of stock (I’d try calling your local Pottery Barn to see if they have any), but the juice glasses are available in various sizes.
Happy (early) Valentine’s Day, friends!
