Cycling in new snacks is one of my travel hacks when it comes to flying with toddlers. New toys and activities help, too, but something as simple as packing a new flavor of their favorite snacks or a snack that’s completely different can help make sitting still in an airplane seat more exciting for littles.
We travel with snacks in all sorts of places in our carry-on’s, but mostly use a disposable gallon-size zip-top bag to stow them away in our diaper bag. I’m a big fan of Stasher bags, but when it comes to flying, we’ve found that the convenience of being able to toss and go is great.
Check out our YouTube Short on what we packed for our 2-hour flight (links below!):
What’s in our travel snack bag:
- GoGoSqueez applesauce pouches (under 3.4 oz)
- Happy Tot bars
- Cerebelly bars
- Annie’s Bunny snacks – assorted box from Target
- Freeze-dried fruits
- Plum Organics Teensy snacks (warning – they will want more than one pouch)
- Dried fruits, like raisins
- MadeGood granola bars
- Beech Nut Melties
We also always travel with a water cup, like a Camelbak, that we fill up after going through security.
Happy travels!
