You’ve booked your workouts for the following week, menu planned, and picked up dry cleaning. What are you doing for Mother’s Day?? Here are six ways to celebrate mom:
- Flowers
It used to be that if you wanted to send flowers, your only option was to call up a local florist and they would send whatever they had available – a challenge if you’re a last-minute kind of person! Now, there are all sorts of flower delivery services that still source from local floral shops – and around the world. UrbanStems now ships nationwide in refrigerated boxes. You can also send a box of roses from Venus et Fleur or fragrant gardenias from High Camp for something elegant and luxurious.
- Breakfast at Home
Try these strawberry chia muffins or a green juice that’s extra friendly for health-conscious moms. Waffles and pancakes are always good standbys and are family-friendly for any extra little helpers. Serve them on a breakfast tray with a few stems of her favorite flower in a bud vase.
- Garden or Home Tour
It’s the season of home and garden tours and chances are good that you’ve got several near you, or a short drive away. These make great mother/daughter day dates!
- Spa Day
Take the kids and treat mom to a manicure/pedicure, facial, or massage. Even better? Schedule her favorite workout beforehand then let her spend the rest of the morning or afternoon relaxing at the spa.
- Take her out
Pick a restaurant she’s been dying to try or an old favorite. We love trying tasting menus and chef’s tables for special occasions. It’s something you don’t do every day (who has the time on a busy weeknight?) and they do a fabulous job of making all parties feel extra special.
- Spend time with her
Whether you’re jet-setting for a weekend away or planning to fix a breakfast in bed, carve out time from your busy schedule to spend time with mom, even if it’s just on the phone. And, if you need a few more gifting ideas, here are a few of our current favorites:
To all the moms out there…Happy Mother’s Day!
