Bringing Fresh Flowers Home This Spring
Looking for a way to bring fresh flowers into your home this Valentine’s Day that will last well beyond February 14th? I’ve got you covered.
I’ve long been a fan of Aromatique. Their fragrances are beautifully crafted, well-presented, and last for ages. When they reached out to me to try out their latest fragrance, I was naturally all about it. And, let me tell you, it does not disappoint.
Aromatique launched their 100th fragrance, Vanilla Rosewater, a few days ago, and just in time for Valentine’s Day! It is an absolute dream. It has a bright, beautiful bouquet of freshly cut roses and peonies with a hint of warm vanilla bean. It’s a lovely fragrance that’s subtle and not overly sweet, which makes it a fabulous scent for all sorts of rooms.
My friends at Aromatique were even so kind as to offer a promo code for me to share with you all. Use code Magnolia20 for 20% off your purchase now through the end of February!
I’ve been using Aromatique’s potpourri for years. In fact, I currently have a container where I switch out multiple fragrances of their decorative potpourri in our main room and have their Bourbon & Bergamot potpourri in our upstairs “man cave.” Aromatique does a fabulous job combining long-lasting scents with beautiful objects in their potpourri.
Chances are good that you probably fall into one of these two categories when it comes to potpourri: you’ve either used it before or have no clue how to display it in a way that doesn’t look like an absolute mess. Fear not. I am here for you.

For those of you interested in the list version of the video above, here are my tips (plus a few extra that didn’t make it into the video):
- Find an attractive container. I love using silver revere bowls, crystal dishes, or antique soup tureens. If going modern is more your style, a contemporary crystal piece by Orrefors or Nambe work just as well.
- Line your container with a bit of plastic wrap. This will protect your container from possible discoloration from oils, etc. The plastic wrap is also clear, so you won’t be able to see it.
- Gently crinkle up a small piece of aluminum foil (watch my video for a good look at what I’m talking about here) and set it into the bottom of your container. This will help add height and – bonus! – will also save you from using all of your potpourri in one container.
- Next, separate out the filler potpourri with the pretty objects. This is why I LOVE Aromatique’s potpourri. They have the most beautiful accent/highlight/focus pieces. Watch this shorter video on how I organize my potpourri first before assembling it all and you’ll see what I mean.
- Place the filler in first, then arrange the highlight objects on the top and sides. Voila! You have a beautiful masterpiece that really only took you a few minutes. No one will be the wiser.
- Make sure you turn the potpourri every few weeks or months to freshen it up. Trust me. It makes a big difference. My Aromatique potpourri is still beautiful nearly two summers strong! Pro tip: you can also buy their refresher oils and sprinkle on a drop or two to extend your potpourri’s life even further.
With so many loved ones and friends apart this spring, a beautifully-packaged potpourri makes a fantastic Valentine’s Day or “thinking of you” gift. It also comes in an equally chic room fragrance and in a candle in the best shade of deep pink. You can shop all of these and more here. Don’t forget to use “Magnolia20” for 20% off! It’s good through the end of February.
